Introduction
In 19 54, Idiamine is miles away from power but within touching distance of it. The protectorate of uganda has been under the heel of the british since at least 18 94. Uganda, like neighbouring kena, is on the road to self determination. Nakanike musisi grew up just outside campala and was a student there during idiamine's rule. Originally given an english sounding fore name as a child, nakanike gave it up in favor of her historic family name. In february 60, harold macmillan announces that independence will be awarded to all british african possessions.
