The Problem With Commercial Aircrew Reporting Mid-Air Mishaps
There were 144 reports as of the first reporting by the UAP task force. In that report, there were 11 year mid-airs. That was 11 opportunities to lose at least one aircraft and perhaps two lives in that mishap. The vast majority of those cases are from 2018 onwards when the US Navy started their official reporting program. They fear losing their medical certificate, which is not just your job, but your career. No one wants to restart their career in their 40s.
