i was exposed to this coping idea through the care a family member who has a form of cancer that requires ongoing treatment. And i think it's so critical to help people focus on what they're capable of doing, ad supposedto incapable,. What they still have ahead of them, and supposed to what they've lost from behind. I see many patients who are in nee purgatory, i call it, who aren't ready for joint replacement or don't havea bad enough. They would benefit from a knee replacement. If they're sort of 60 percent functional, wen, you give a nee replacement, they'r 70 % functional, they're not typically happy with that
