The Loneliness of Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is usually due to an excess of dopamine in the prefrontal cortex. It's lonely because people don't seek help, and there's a lot of shame associated with it as well. The key thing to look for when you're meeting with somebody who may be psychotic is that they are reacting to internal stimuli.
