The Power of God to Keep Us

There was more in Adam to resist sin before the fall, yet it overwhelmed him. Because we in ourselves are weak like water. For God to keep us with all the corruptions still in us and all the temptations outside of us is more wondrous and more powerful than if a candle should stay lit in an open field during a hurricane.
