Basilicas - The Problem of a Classical Fascism
Barbaro gets access to projects through the barbarou family, who are very well connected. There's a sort of problem if you're trying to put a classical facade on the front of a traditional basilica. The way in which you make that into something which looks like a roman temple is not at all clear. Barbaro manages to get them to chuck out the facade design and get paladio in.
