The Underworld Isn't a Place for Punishment
Early ideas of orphism linked it very directly to early christianity. Scholars later tried to break it down, pointing out that the zacharea story does not inherently contain any kind of original sin or morality. It all comes back to something i like to talk about a lot: The underworld is not a place for punishment. There isn't any inherently moral purpose in the stories of the underworld. It's just where you go when you die.
