The Progress of Nature

The progress of nature is a rollicking short little kind of picarask pornographic novel. The child of nature came out in 1774 and was reprinted throughout the 19th century as pornography. But what's interesting is that it can take the heroine in that novel manages to never have penetrative sex. She wards off violent and non violent advances on her like 400 pages. And at the end she ends up marrying a very wealthy man who dies the minute he marries her, and she inherits all his money.
