The US Sanctions Target Russia's FSB and Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
The US on Thursday imposed sanctions on the Russian intelligence agency FSB and the intelligence wing of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The move, I mean, it's symbolic because both the FSB and IRGC are already under sanctions. But what they are, are at least as far as Russia is concerned, is that this is a retaliation for Russia's detainment of Evan Gershkovich who was arrested over allegations of spying.
