The housing industry is booming, but that may only because the existing house market is kind of paralyzed by the change in rates. The phenomenon I'm talking about here is something called labor hoarding - you want to keep access to workers even when you can't necessarily use them that much. And there may be more labor hoarding because of memories of a couple of years ago.
