The Story of Westinghouse's Bankruptcy

In the early 1900s, Westinghouse's electric company went into receivership. The bankruptcy was a great shock to both insiders and outsiders but with money so tight, Westedhouse sold no alternative. He saw himself as interested in progress and profits and the welfare of his men while they were only interested in profits. One lesson he taught everybody in this time, he says, a corporation can have a soul.
