The Lessons of Gia Galloway
Kinsley Galloway was a member of the African brigade in the Union Army. The vast majority of them were formerly enslaved men who fought for the Union until 1864. They applied to be part of that retroactively, but they didn't get it and ended up staying in touch with their former comrades. Kinsley: "I hope that's a lesson to all white people everywhere"
