But because these cultural and ideologically progressive issues are at stake in american politics right now, they're till going to come back to the democrats. The problem for the party is that there's ianother group of voters. They're working class. They may care about abortion and gun control, but they care ore about the economy and inflation. And maybe the democrats could be losing them, not just for the smidh term, but maybe even for good,. given the way long term trends are going.
For months, leaders of the Democratic Party and President Biden have been bracing for huge losses in the upcoming midterm elections. Today, “The Daily” explores a new New York Times poll that complicates that thinking — and could set the stage for a very different showdown in November.
