The Originality of the Blues

I don't have the same skepticism about originality. Take a band like lead zeppelin, and some of it's just, obviously highly influenced by the blues,. Some of it is just covering those songs, but still highly original. What seems most original to us are offen eetheses. It's things like orchestration, yes, style and originality and music happens in those ineffable areas. I was immediately responding to what you were saying is that, well, there is the authenticity to it, but there's not the originality.
