Alex jones was sentenced to 50 million dollars in damages for spreading lies. The jury found him guilty of one count of defamation and two counts of infliction of emotional distress. CNN's John Sutter says the case is a first step towards monetizing misinformation on the inter net. He asks: Will this actually put the fear of the judicial gods in people?
