The Importance of Names in the Book of Exodus
The Septuagint is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Old Testament. We actually get the name Exodus from the Greek word Exodos, which means way out or road out. Names become an important theme, a theological theme in the book of Exodus. From that perspective, Exodus isn't just about liberation. It's really about the freedom to flourish.
