The Impact of California CCAs on Renewable Energy
Peninsula Clean Energy has brought on more renewable energy since they were first formed with MCE back in 2010. CCAs have contracted for almost 10,000 megawatts of new clean generation through long-term power purchase agreements. Right now, CCAs serve over 11 million residents in California, which I think is about 40% of the retail load. This will continue to grow as CCAs expand to other parts of the state.
