The Importance of Impermanence

Buddhism teaches that all things are ephemeral, but even the self is not something we can rely on as Western thinkers. The idea of if things change, then reality is essentially flowing and because it's flowing, you never stuck. So no matter how bad you're feeling, I think the Buddhist would claim is that the situation is inherently transformable. And so there's kind of a flip side swim, but the impermanence side of it is, yeah, we're all going to get sick and get old and I think I'm going to go all the way.
