Is Drunkenness a Serious Sin?

The bible calls drunkenness a very serious sin and something you go to hell for, right? Is idolatry, that is drunkenness, and it will take you to hell. But have you noticed that now we're saying words like alcoholic? The reason being is there was a fairly recent change in terms of perspective. We've all been indoctrinated by our culture. Sometimes we dn't even know whit happened. And if we won't accept it in churches, we shouldn't be accepting it as christian just because it's extra church, like outside of church.
