Is There a Dog in the English Language?
People have always assumed, generally speaking, with with Plato, that there is intrinsic meaning out there somewhere. So I saw changes everything by just saying, no, there's not. Why would you think that? There's no connection. You can see how that just opens up a can of worms. Okay, how do we know then know what a dog is? Well, I guess we know what it's not. And this is how we get actually to structuralism, because we need to look at the systems that undergird everything.
