Willie Nelson has had, you could probably break it down to three or four different careers over his lifetime as a Nashville songwriter. He helped create the in the 70s, a genre that we now call Outlaw Country along with the Whalen Jennings and others. And he became an icon for rock fans who wanted to get back to the roots of musical way from the kind of big arena rock bands of the 80s.
