Yukio Mishima is the subject of a new film by Japanese director Shreda. He was an artist who believed in cultural and ethnic exclusivity inside Japan. In his novel The Temple of the Golden Pavilion, he deals with a burning down of a Buddhist shrine. His form of nationalism did not necessarily appeal to right-wing nationalists inside Japan.
