The Importance of Contentment in Ashtangayoga

The Upagurus become all the beings along the way that started to tell you who you really are. My mother was an interesting person. She was a good middle class woman and she had no vehicle through which to manifest it. We were in a conspiracy to deny who we really are because it was too scary. Scary to be light and to be love, to be truth and to be beauty. None of the existing forms of the social structure in which we live has that category.
