The Origin Story of a Rural Upbringing

"I was very lucky to have a very rural upbringing. I had parents who raised animals, they kept sheep, they kept pigs," he says. "That just combined with the fact I was just absolutely mad for it ... I can't explain it." He recalls being asked what kind of room he wanted and wanting leaf litter on the floor as well as hedgehogs,. snakes and fungi growing off the walls. That's where you find foraging, i think, is an important part of his life.
