Are You Seeing AI in Other Colleges?
I don't see AI in many other places. It does seem to be largely centered in computer science departments or engineering departments. And I would argue, of course, it needs to be there. But it also needs to infuse all of these other disciplines, because otherwise, they're not going to benefit from the technology very easily. UofF has always encouraged undergraduates even to become involved with undergraduate research. We just had a competition for entrepreneurship on campus. A group of students developed a system based on artificial intelligence to determine when lightning strikes in a field or forest would actually start a fire.
