The Unconscious Processes in Psychotherapy

Joel O'Haneo: I've always thought of the unconscious as most commonly belonging to the realm of psychoanalysis. Do other therapeutic approaches also incorporate ideas about unconscious processes? Valentina, do you agree with Joel that all psychotherapy has the unconscious in it? We have a lot of unconscious processes that are going on at all times in our minds; they're what we call normative unconscious processes. And they do impact our functioning both outside and inside of the psychotherapy office.
