In tarama, in the mara region of tantania, schools are often built one wall at a time, raising money brick by brick. The tarama girls secondary school currently has one classroom block for about a hundred and 60 students. It also has one wall of science lab and another wall of a proposed library. Once complete, it will give 800 girls an opportunity to complete their secondary education - giving them an extra four years of learning.
