The Power of Conscious Awareness

I had to understand that the relationship I was having with my emotions was surrounded by toxic shame. So through the process of engaging with myself in that way, allowing myself to feel again was a huge first step for me. But what would happen very quickly is because of the habits that I was experiencing, my awareness would jump back into my head. That was the predominant place I was existing was in this experience of my mind. It made a big difference where I just acknowledged that I was feeling things and I was, and how that was actually reintroducing me to myself through feeling myself.
