Plato's Meno

The meno is a much studied dialogue about virtue. The main characters are socrates and an interlocutor, Meno. Socrates responds predictably by protesting that he can't say whether virtue is teachable because he doesn't know what virtue is. After several failed attempts to get into a discussion of knowledge, mino admits that he's stumped. At this point, one could imagine the dialogue ending in puzzlement about what might be virtuous.
