The Medal of Honor

The board that was in charge of the congressional medal of honor decided to change their qualifications. And mary, along with 910 other award recipients, were essentially stripped of their medals somewhere alng the way. They had re designed this medal and sent her a new one. So now she's wearing two medals of honor on her garments. Her health began to fail when she was 86. She returned to her old childhood home, and her civil war friends and acquaintances all over the country banded together to raise funds for her to have a live in nurse and housekeeper. Doctor walker kept up a lively and argumentative correspondence with people all over the world up until the end.
