Skateboarding in Love Park
People protested the renovations. A big skateboard shoe company called DC even offered up a million dollars to keep the park the way it was and to kind of offset any damages skaters might have done over the years. City counselors and architects like Tony spoke out in favor of keeping Love Park. Ed Bacon, 92, staged his own protest by writing on a skateboard with two people propping him up as if he were still alive.
