Real Estate developer Sean Sweeney talks about how he got his start in the industry. He started out working as a law clerk at a small Chicago-based firm before being acquired by a much larger, national company. After moving to Los Angeles for grad school with his then girlfriend, she ended up getting into grad school back in California and they moved there together. They now have their own successful real estate development business called Sotheby’s International Realty LLP.
Patrick Donley talks with Sean Sweeney about his real estate journey from working as a receptionist in San Francisco to becoming a general partner of Hall Sweeney. His company has done seven ground-up new construction projects in Minneapolis with a total value of over $100 million. Prior to forming Hall Sweeney, Sean worked in acquisitions at Timberland Partners, where he was responsible for opening new markets and acquisitions.
