Tolkien's Worlds, the Places That Inspired the Writer's Imagination
Do you feel like the recent publications of the Three Great Tales have changed the public perception at all? Is that raised awareness to people who are already Tolkien fans. I would assume that it has reached more Tolkien fans than unfinished tales in the history of Middle-earth, where this material has largely been published previously. Producing these editions that are beautifully illustrated by Alan Lee that cut out the footnotes, the endnotes, the most of the commentary gives a real flavour and allows you to follow streamlined threads through this vast tapestry.
