Self determination theory suggests that people are most able to cultivate intrinsic motivation when they are effectively nourishing a few key psychological needs. And so you need to re sit what do i need to do to support my own perception of my autonomy related to my goal seeking behaviors, to enhance my competence related to my goals? Or to feel some sense of relatedness in terms of, i need to be part of something as I'm striving toward this goal and tap into the community around me for help with it? So these things should all kind of line up really well if you're pursuing them properly.
