Carrots in the Second World War
In the Second World War, British military invented some kind of new radar or something for their planes. And in order to try and delay the Nazis from knowing what was going on, there was a genuine concern that they were eating too many carrots. There is a chemical in them that apparently makes them, but the reason that that was popularized because our grandparents were propagandized to- To cover for the effect of radar. That's why every generation since knows carrots, they help your eyesight, right? Absolutely.
