I think a lot of what I do as an editor is kind of thinking about the realities of how people actually read scholarly work. And we sometimes assume that our reader is holding all of the information in their head right along with the book. So, so understanding that that is probably the experience your reader is going to have you can just give them a little couple, you know, footholds to kind of regain their understanding of where they are in the story that you've been trying to tell.
