The History of the Metco Program

I grew up at a school where there was busing. We had kids that were bused from Roxbury, Madapan, Dorchester to my school. And those programs basically don't exist anymore. Why does no one talk about what became of those kids in that program? It's an interesting question. I mean, the violence that you saw in South Boston that first day, it came to my school in a bit but not like that at all.
