There it's a productivity feature and yeah i would just wish an option to disable that or maybe a plugin in the future but that's just me it's just great. If you prefer the older tundlebird version with a little bit of time you can probably just revert to how it looked before you can re-enable the menu bar. The linux desktop is still growing apparently it has finally reached 3 market share in the desktop operating systems.
