Forest Service Pilot Study on Electric Vehicles
Three vehicles will be tested by the United States Forest Service to develop a strategy for implementing electric vehicles nationally. Light duty vehicle category includes anything that a normal consumer might buy, such as a light pickup truck or sedan. Medium and heavy duty vehicles include things like buses, construction equipment and fire trucks. The knowledge base developed by the study will hold applicability to outdoor enthusiasts also eager to transition to electric vehicles.
