The Impact of Big Push Interventions on Poverty
Acids grants have become an important tool in program design to help household transition out poverty. This could, as i understand it, be characterized as a big push intervention. After first year, we see that they treated households were 22 % less likely to be poor than the control group. And after three years, that had gone to light more than 30%. In terms of food security,. we see that significant number of treated households tend to be more food secure. They tend to report that they have enough food for household consumption. The households had 60 % more expenditure than a control households, translated into significant improvements and reduction in poverty rates.
