The Music of Leroy Jackson Burgess
Leroy O'Neill Jackson, Jr. grew up in the Harlem River Projects of New York City. He says his family is spiritually based and that music was a big part of their upbringing. "I didn't make it to the Apollo until I performed there when Don't Turn Round came out in 1971," he said.
