Is Consciousness Just Information Processing?
The idea that consciousness is some kind of information processing I think probably is is shortly to be deprecated. The brain is more than a computer, the chemical machine is what's a living system. These things can do more than simply process information. We treat it as this big single mystery we treat it with respect to consciousness. So, my bet is if we focus on developing explanations of properties of consciousness like first person perspective and so by little, the apparent hardness of the heart problem will fade away. And maybe even dissolve in a puff of metaphysical smoke eventually.
