Is the Brain a Lens Through Which to Look?
Freud believed that the brain not merely mediated our experiences but shaped them too. And you say the brain is not just a tool for grappling with the world, it's what brings the world about. The structure of the brain reflects its history as an evolving dynamic system in which one part evolves out of and in response to another. This made me reframe how I taught of the brain because I saw it as a transmitter and a receiver of energy and vibration, which keeps changing the lens. We should see all things as processes, not as static objects.
