The Ouija Board
Ouija is a combination of French and German words for yes, we and yeah. The term Ouija actually comes from an alleged encounter where the board itself spelled out 'Ouija' William Folt was an early financial supporter of the Ouija board who orchestrated a hostile takeover of the Kennerd Novelty Company in 1892. Today of the term Ouija is a trademark of Hasbro, but it is commonly used to refer to any talking board or spirit board as they are sometimes known.
