How to Scale a Thousand True Fans Business Model?
The idea is basically, if you can get 1000 true fans to pay you $100 every year to support your art or his business, well, then you can make $100,000 a year and that's sustainable. In my experience, it always goes wrong exactly the same way. They say, now how do I get 10,000 fans? And they start asking people who aren't qualified to be a true fan,. So then they start dumbing it down and averaging it out and cheapening it up so they can get another zero. The next circle may very well work and you might end up with 10,000.
