How Do Fish Communicate With Their Body Parts?

In contrast to the human larynx, which is the dominant sourceor for humans communicating, fish produce sounds with all different parts of their bodies. The most common acoustic mechanism is highly specialized s associated with a swim bladder in sort of the fish's thoracic cavity. But we have other species of fish that are grinding their teeth. And as they move their pectoral fins back and forth, they are creating a stridulatory sound similar to how crickets and catydids are making sounds.
