The Importance of Hypocrisy
The word hypocrisy comes from the Greek, which is this idea of being a mask wearer. Jesus is calling the Pharisees mask wares, but they're also under judgment. Adam and Eve after they had transgressed covered themselves with fig leaves to hide from God. What they really are, what they really think is not what they're showing.
