Are the Differences Really Disappearing?
Both parties are less internally heterogeneous to day than probably any time in their history. But at the same time, especially in the democratic party right now, we see a lot of polarization within that party itself. We have differences between the far left and more moderate democrats fighting over types of issues. So i think we can think about these things in terms abot degree relative to history.
