The Importance of Muscle Protein Synthesis in Resistance Training

As you age your body doesn't absorb protein to the same degree as like your younger self and this is also where resistance training can be seen as a lot more important so maybe we can touch on that as well. Most of the muscle that's recent it that's used in protein synthesis is actually re synthesized. About 30 ish percent and sometimes 50% of the protein that you eat gets taken up by the gut, split between being used for energy just sort of burned off as heat and used towards preserving health and homeostasis including immunity.
