I was asked recently if if poets feel frustrated, because everything is, after all, unsayable. Well, brillman also says, you know, a line like, i have a dream, which is just, you know, the language we remember for martin luther king,. That's lovely. I think many times poems are ar about containment, like in carrying what they carry, what part of us they carry or something unspoken they carry. Poetry helps us open to experience, reopen, stay present. And it's so hard to absorb or imagine the enormity of disasters.
